The Annual Conference ends on 4 February 2027, but your experience in Tanzania can continue. Extend your stay with an optional tour combining island culture and beaches, a wildlife safari or a Kilimanjaro climb.
The following programmes and prices are based on quotations from H.E.C. Kilimanjaro and Safaris Limited. All tours start in Kibaha on 4 February 2027. Final prices, group sizes, availability and exact departure and transfer times remain subject to confirmation.

Zanzibar – Culture and Beach
Explore the historic streets of Stone Town, then unwind on the coast in Jambiani. This programme combines a guided introduction to Zanzibar’s cultural heritage with time by the Indian Ocean and a farewell celebration in Paje.
- Proposed dates: 4–9 February 2027
- Duration: 6 days / 5 nights
- Tour starts: Kibaha, 4 February; departure time to be confirmed.
- Tour ends: Dar es Salaam International Airport, 9 February, following departure from Zanzibar. The connecting transfer and timings require confirmation.
- Quoted price: USD 980 per person, based on a quotation for 10 adults in twin rooms.
- Planned accommodation: 2 nights at Dhow Palace Hotel in Stone Town and 3 nights at New Teddy’s on the Beach in Jambiani.
- Ideal for: Culture, relaxation and the coast.
Proposed Programme
- 4 February: Travel from Kibaha to Zanzibar and settle into Stone Town.
- 5 February: Guided city tour exploring Stone Town’s historic streets, markets and cultural landmarks.
- 6–8 February: Stay in Jambiani with time to enjoy the beach. A farewell celebration in Paje is planned for 8 February.
- 9 February: Depart from Zanzibar, with onward travel to Dar es Salaam as listed in the itinerary. Confirm the connection before booking your international flight.
Listed inclusions: Scheduled activities unless marked optional, meals specified in the itinerary, and taxes/VAT. The meal plan provides dinner on day 1; breakfast and dinner on day 2; breakfast, lunch and dinner on days 3–5; and breakfast on day 6.
Northern Tanzania Safari
Discover northern Tanzania’s wildlife and landscapes on a safari through Tarangire National Park, Ndutu and the Ngorongoro Crater. The journey starts in Kibaha, continues via Arusha and ends at Kilimanjaro International Airport.

- Tour starts: Kibaha, 4 February; departure time to be confirmed.
- Tour ends: Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), 9 February, with an evening departure described in the day-by-day itinerary. Final airport timings require confirmation.
- Quoted price: USD 1,790 per person, based on a quotation for 7 adults.
- Planned accommodation: 1 night at Karama Lodge, 2 nights at Kudu Lodge and 2 nights at Ndutu Safari Lodge, in twin/double rooms as listed in the itinerary.
- Ideal for: Wildlife, game drives and exploring northern Tanzania.

- 4 February: Travel from Kibaha to Arusha; overnight at Karama Lodge.
- 5 February: Guided game drive in Tarangire National Park; overnight at Kudu Lodge.
- 6–7 February: Explore Ndutu, with two nights at Ndutu Safari Lodge.

Listed inclusions: Scheduled activities unless marked optional, 5 nights’ accommodation, all road transport, park fees, a professional guide, drinking water, taxes/VAT and meals specified in the itinerary. The meal plan provides dinner on day 1, breakfast, lunch and dinner on days 2–5, and breakfast on day 6.
Optional extra: A balloon safari is quoted at USD 600 per person and is not included in the tour price. It must be booked and paid for separately with the provider before the trip.
Kilimanjaro Climb – Marangu Route
For a longer adventure, join a multi-day climb of Mount Kilimanjaro via the Marangu Route. The proposed itinerary includes mountain hut accommodation, an acclimatisation day at Horombo Hut and a summit attempt, with hotel stays in Marangu before and after the mountain trek.

- Duration: 8 days / 7 nights, including transfers and hotel stays.
- Tour starts: Kibaha, 4 February, with an early-morning road transfer to Marangu; exact departure time to be confirmed.
- Tour ends: Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), 11 February, with an evening departure described in the itinerary. Final airport timings require confirmation.
- Quoted price: USD 1,945 per person; final group size and pricing basis require confirmation.
- Planned accommodation: 2 nights at Kilimanjaro Mountain Resort in Marangu and 5 nights in mountain huts: Mandara, Horombo and Kibo.
- Ideal for: High-altitude trekking, adventure and a longer stay in Tanzania.
Proposed Programme
- 4 February: Road transfer from Kibaha to Kilimanjaro Mountain Resort in Marangu.
- 5 February: Begin the Marangu Route and trek to Mandara Hut.
- 6 February: Continue to Horombo Hut.
- 7 February: Acclimatisation activities, including Zebra Rocks; second night at Horombo Hut.
- 8 February: Trek to Kibo Hut.
- 9 February: Early-morning summit attempt, followed by a return to Horombo Hut.
- 10 February: Descend and return to Kilimanjaro Mountain Resort in Marangu.
- 11 February: Transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for departure.

How to Join a Post-Conference Tour
Post-conference tours are optional and are not included in the Annual Conference participation fee. Participants can indicate their interest during the AC registration process and will receive further guidance.
The proposed tours will be operated by the independent travel provider H.E.C. Kilimanjaro and Safaris Limited. Final booking arrangements, participant limits, deadlines and cancellation conditions will be communicated once confirmed.

Payment Terms in the Current Quotations
- The provider will issue an invoice when a booking is confirmed.
- A deposit of 25% of the total booking value is required immediately to secure the reservation.
- The remaining balance is due no later than 70 days before the scheduled arrival date.
- For bookings made within 70 days of arrival, full payment is required at confirmation.
- Reservations remain subject to availability until the required payment has been received.
Additional costs: The quotations exclude international flights, personal expenses, travel insurance, visa fees, tips, optional activities and any government-imposed increases in taxes or park fees. Please check the final inclusions and cancellation conditions before committing to a booking.
Plan Your Return Journey Carefully
Consider your selected tour before booking your international return flight. Zanzibar and the Northern Tanzania Safari are proposed to end on 9 February 2027; the Kilimanjaro Climb is proposed to end on 11 February 2027.
The Zanzibar itinerary lists an end point at Dar es Salaam International Airport, following departure from Zanzibar. The safari and climb end at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). Confirm the final airport, included transfers and arrival time with the provider before booking onward travel.
