The IAESTE Annual Conference brings together our global network to discuss priorities, strengthen cooperation and shape the future of international professional mobility.

AC 2027 combines General Conference sessions, Exchange Meetings, open discussions, knowledge sharing and networking, together with new opportunities for universities and partners to engage with the IAESTE community.

AC 2027 is jointly organised by IAESTE Global, IAESTE Tanzania and the Open University of Tanzania (OUT), with OUT serving as the hosting institution in Tanzania.

Africa at AC 2027

Africa at the heart of AC 2027

In 2027, the IAESTE Annual Conference returns to Africa after more than two decades. Together with IAESTE Tanzania and the Open University of Tanzania, IAESTE Global is bringing the international IAESTE network to Tanzania, creating a unique opportunity to strengthen connections between African universities, institutions and employers and the wider IAESTE network.

AC 2027 will include dedicated opportunities to discuss international internships, employability, university–industry cooperation and internationalisation, while helping institutions build new international connections.

The conference has also been recognised under the UNESCO “Advancing a Culture of Peace in Africa” initiative, highlighting its contribution to international cooperation, intercultural understanding and stronger connections between young people and institutions across borders.

Connect your institution with the IAESTE network

AC 2027 is not only for existing IAESTE members.

Universities, higher education institutions, employers and other partners are invited to join selected conference activities, meet representatives from across the IAESTE network and explore opportunities for future cooperation.

Participants will also have the opportunity to showcase their institutions, programmes and initiatives during the AC 2027 Poster Session, with a special focus on contributions from African universities and institutions.

AC 2027 introduces a more interactive programme that combines dedicated thematic discussions for IAESTE members with Exchange Sessions, General Conference proceedings, knowledge sharing and selected activities for universities and partners.

The programme will focus on key areas such as:

• international internships and Exchange;
• network and university development;
• strategy and the future of IAESTE;
• marketing, partnerships and visibility.

Tanzania offers much more than a venue for AC 2027.

The conference will allow participants to experience the country, connect with local universities and institutions and build relationships within one of the world’s youngest and fastest-growing regions.

AC 2027 is jointly organised by IAESTE Global, IAESTE Tanzania and the Open University of Tanzania.

Their collaboration brings together IAESTE’s international network with local knowledge, academic engagement and connections across Tanzania and the wider African region.

Beyond the formal programme, AC 2027 will combine professional exchange with Tanzanian culture, hospitality and opportunities to discover the country.
