Getting to Tanzania
Most international participants will travel to Tanzania through Julius Nyerere International Airport (DAR) in Dar es Salaam.
The conference venue, the Mwalimu Julius Nyerere Leadership School (MJNLS), is located in Kibaha, outside Dar es Salaam.
Airport Transfers
Airport transfers between Julius Nyerere International Airport and the conference venue will be provided for participants whose registration package includes this service.
Daily Universities & Partners participants will have access to scheduled group transportation between designated locations in Dar es Salaam and Kibaha.
Registered participants will be asked to submit their confirmed travel details in advance so that transfers can be arranged.

International Transfers & Airlines
Tanzania is well-connected globally, and many major international airlines offer direct flights to Dar es Salaam. When booking your travel, you can choose from a variety of major carriers. Selected airlines servicing the area include KLM, Emirates, Qatar Airways, Turkish Airlines, Ethiopian Airlines, Air France, South African Airways, Kenya Airways, Egyptair, Air Tanzania, and flydubai.
Arriving by plane
Arrival by air is the most convenient way for international participants to travel to Tanzania. Your destination will be the Mwalimu Julius Nyerere International Airport (Dar Es Salaam International Airport).
The conference venue, The Mwalimu Nyerere Leadership School, is located in Kibaha, Coast Region, just a few kilometers from Dar Es Salaam City. You will not need to worry about navigating local transit or booking a taxi upon arrival; airport pick-ups and drop-offs are fully included in the conference fee for all participants
Arriving by road
If you are traveling from within Africa or planning a broader overland trip before the conference, arriving by road is also an option. Tanzania is accessible by road from several neighboring countries, including Kenya (Nairobi and Mombasa), South Africa, Zambia (Ndola), Malawi (Lilongwe), Congo, and Mozambique.
Tanzania Visa Information
Most international delegates will require a visa to enter Tanzania. Visa requirements depend on nationality.
1. Visa-exempt countries
Some nationalities do not require a visa to enter Tanzania.
2. Referral Visa countries
Nationals of certain countries require a Referral Visa, which involves an additional approval process.
Registered AC 2027 participants in this category will receive the necessary supporting documentation from IAESTE Tanzania.
3. Ordinary Visa
Participants who are neither visa-exempt nor subject to the Referral Visa procedure should apply for an Ordinary Visa.
The Ordinary Visa currently costs USD 50 and is valid for stays of up to 90 days. It covers purposes such as attending meetings, workshops, and exhibitions.
Registered AC 2027 participants will receive an invitation letter from IAESTE Tanzania to support their application.
